Description
These vigorous plants produce fragrant, sweet, tasty fruits with orange flesh that can grow up to 700g. Suitable for greenhouse or outside in a sheltered position.
Sow indoors from February to April. A warm kitchen windowsill is all you need for starting these seeds. Sow thinly, 0.5cm deep, in a pot of compost. Water well and place in a warm position. A temperature of 20-25°C is ideal. Keep moist. Seedlings usually appear in 7-14 days. Transplant to individual pots when 10-15cm tall. Grow on in cooler, but not cold conditions. Plant out in April/May, to large pots, growing bags, or into warm, well-drained soil in the greenhouse border. Harvest from August to October.
