Pastinaca sativa. Organically grown seed of a traditional favourite with long, deliciously sweet tasting roots and a firm texture. Perfect for roasting, mash and soups. Approx 350 seeds. Sow Outdoors February to May into a prepared seed bed, where they are to mature. Harvest from October to February. For a longer season make an early and a late sowing. Harvest alternate parsnips to allow remainder to mature, space to 20cm. Leave roots in the ground until required as the taste is improved by frost. Lift remaining roots in February and store undamaged roots in a dry frost free area.
