Description
High-yielding with crunchy flesh and a small core, this is a popular mini crop, which in so far as it is a home-grown variety, tastes much sweeter than those bought in supermarkets.
It has broad wedge-shaped roots, can be harvested small and stores well.
Seedlings appear within 7-21 days of planting and if continuous crops are desirable sow every 2-3 weeks.
When harvesting, select alternate young carrots from the row, allowing the remainder to develop fully.
Keep well watered to prevent the roots splitting.
