Description
A tasty and crisp salad-bowl type lettuce with appetising glossy deep red crinkled leaves, Lettuce ‘Saxo’ adds a refreshing bite to a sandwich and brings a depth of colour to mixed summer salads. Easy to grow, simply direct sow this variety outside at intervals through spring in borders, troughs of window boxes for a tasty, fresh and nutritious harvest which continues through to late autumn. A reliable variety which shows an excellent level of resistance to downy mildew and lettuce leaf aphid, providing a good, healthy crop to pick when needed through summer. Height: 15cm (6”).
